Yuzu is a yellow Japanese citrus fruit used for its aromas subtle and unique flavor. Kagura no sato fruits are harvested from the Shiromi Mountains in Kyushu, west of Miyazaki Prefecture. The fog that hovers there, a blessing of the kami or deities of the region, as well as its great temperature differences, contribute to the production of very good quality yuzu, flatter and more acidic than ordinary yuzus. To ensure its storage at room temperature, the juice is pasteurized and bottled in a dark glass, allowing longer storage.
Flavor : The juice obtained by squeezing the entire peel of the citrus fruit has a more intense and refreshing flavor. Yuzu has a complex flavor between tangerine and citron.
This yuzu juice is perfect to spice up meat and fish dishes, add a tangy touch to a salad or be used as an ingredient in a refreshing drink. Its powerful aromas, more acidic and sweeter than those of ordinary yuzu, bring punch and depth to vinaigrettes, marinades or sweet preparations: tarts, sabayons, sorbets, etc. Mix gently before use.
Ingredients : 100% yuzu juice.
Conservation : Store in a cool, dry place away from light, in the refrigerator after opening.
Kagura no sato was founded in 1978, in the Shiromi Mountains of Kyushu, west of Miyazaki Prefecture. The region benefits from ideal climatic conditions for producing and cultivating yuzu. Indeed, citrus fruits need strong temperature differences to grow well. However, the humid fog that hovers in the Shiromi mountains, canonized by the locals as a divine breath, fulfills this role perfectly by causing winter temperatures to peak as low as -7°C. Flatter, but also more acidic and sweeter than ordinary yuzu, the yuzu produced by Kagura no sato follows a careful transformation process to produce juices and other condiments of very good quality. p>
