Kiyomi means “Pure Beauty” in Japanese. This rum was carefully crafted in Nago City, on the island of Okinawa, by the Helios distillery, one of the oldest rum distilleries in Japan.
This rum is a distillate of local sugar cane molasses fermented for 5 to 12 days, using the famous Japanese enzyme called Koji, then distilled in Pot Still in
copper. Sugar cane benefits from mineral-rich soil and a tropical climate, which gives this rum minerality and salinity.
A white rum has an unrivaled aromatic explosion due to the long fermentation of its cane molasses, recalling notes of truffle before oxidation.
TASTING NOTES:
DRESS: Clear, translucent.
NOSE : Truffle before oxidation then flambéed banana, lychee, passion fruit.
MOUTH: Round and supple.
FINAL: Slightly peppery.
