Mikan, once the most consumed fruit in Japan, is a mild and sweet variety of mandarin. The mikan used to make this juice are grown in the Wakayama region, a region known throughout Japan for its mikan. The fruits are peeled one by one so that only the thin skin remains which retains the fruit flesh during the press. This particular technique allows you to obtain a juice with a clear, sweet and creamy taste, with very little acidity, as if you were eating the fruit itself.
Flavor: Sweet and creamy, non-bitter, non-acidic.
Mikan juice can be enjoyed as is, diluted with water or in a cocktail, but also used in making your sauce bases or in pastry (jellies, mousses, ice creams, etc.)
Ingredients: Mikan 100%
Storage : Store in a cool, dry place, in the refrigerator after opening.
Sowa Kajuen is the fruit of the association of 7 mikan farmers. They combined their know-how to develop their activity as well as new mikan-based products. Sowa Kajuen is located in Arida, in the Wakayama region. For more than 400 years, Arida has been the leading mikan-producing city in the Japanese archipelago, thanks to its environment. In summer, rainfall is low and the region's soil retains the right amount of moisture to grow the famous Arida mikan. Sowa Kajuen combines the richness of the nature that surrounds it with technology to produce, on nearly 8 hectares of fields, delicious mikan, all of which they use to produce a wide variety of products.
