Japanese belts
An obi (帯) is a belt used to close traditional Japanese clothing, such as kimonos or training clothing for martial arts (keikogi or dōgi).
It is in the form of a fabric ribbon without buckle or clasp. How to tie the obi is quite an art.
By tradition, we do not wear any jewelry with a kimono, this explains why the obis are so richly decorated and colorful, they must cut with the kimono, while being in harmony with it.
