Origin: Japan ( Shizuoka )

Ingredients: Green tea, popped rice - Sticky rice containing a sufficient amount of minerals is mixed with the selected BANCHA in autumn, which helps reduce blood sugar levels.

Genmaicha (玄米茶), literally "brown rice tea," is a blend of Japanese green tea and popped wild rice. It acquires a completely unique warm flavor reminiscent of coffee. Genmaicha has the same virtues as green tea as it is primarily composed of it. Due to the addition of rice alongside tea, the caffeine content in Genmaicha is particularly low, making it enjoyable in the evening or for caffeine-sensitive individuals. The presence of popped rice in the infusion provides a warming effect for the body, conducive to digestion, and soothing for the mind.

To fully enjoy its benefits, it is recommended to let it steep for less than 2 minutes in water at 75-80°C.

The Sencha green tea from Ujitawara, a renowned region in Japan for the production of high-quality teas, offers an exceptional sensory experience. This tea is cultivated under ideal conditions in the rolling hills of Uji, in the ancient city of Kyoto, where the Japanese tradition of green tea began over 1,000 years ago. Today, in Japan, when people think of high-quality green tea, they think of Uji. The misty climate, sloping hills, warm days, and cool nights provide an ideal setting for tea plants to thrive. If you take the train to Kyoto, you will pass through many beautiful green tea farms in Uji, and you can sample the wide variety of delicious green teas available in specialized shops and restaurants in the area.
