Keizu or daitokuji is the name given to this traditional bell in Buddhist temples, where it accompanies the recitation of sutras and other ceremonies. - A conscious blow with a mallet is given on the side to obtain a clear and deep sound. - Usually large in size, the penetrating sound of the keizu bell fills the meditation halls, inviting serenity of mind and harmony among the members of the group. - Bell made of bronze, copper alloy, zinc and silica.
