The word "donabe" [do-na-be] means "clay dish" and is ideal for slow cooking of food.
It allows the preparation of different traditional Japanese dishes: shabu-shabu, sukiyaki and other one-pot meals. Depending on its shape, it is possible to smoke food, or to steam it.
It is a friendly dish, placed in the center of the table, allowing diners to help themselves directly from it. You can equip yourself with a portable stove to cook live at the table.
Some tips for use:
- Do not heat empty
- Fair in the microwave
- Wash with neutral products and not strong detergents
- Dry carefully after use
- To deodorize the dish, add water with a few tea leaves and 2/3 tablespoons of vinegar and boil for 10 minutes.
